The lifeblood of the nation



Sunset over the Minneriya Tank, the lifeblood of water for my paddy fields, for which I pay the state Rs500 a year(about US$4) as water taxes.

    Would be nice to know the technology behind these ancient bodies of water. Also sharing some of your knowledge at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minneriya would be great, which is basically empty now!
